Amazing place. You feel like you're on vacation for the day and forget everything. Facilities are impeccably clean, the staff is friendly, the food is delicious. Definitely going to be a regular getaway for me and my fiancé.
I had a horrible experience today at Sojo spa in Edgewater. Went with some friends to this spa today and after 1/2 and hour of being there I wanted to smoke a cigarette. I asked for their smoking section and was advised they didn’t have any so I was ok with it and figured I would go outside in front of the building and have a cigarette like I have done in other spas. DO NOT GET THE SHIATSU MASSAGE! If not for that, the experience at SoJo would be near perfect. The shiatsu massage absolutely RUINED the entire experience. It was one of the worst massages I have ever had! I think the masseuse's name was Kong. He must be a masochist because it was clear he enjoyed seeing me in pain. The facility is amazing. However the spa is a rip off. I went with a gift card from my husband. He specially went to get a gift card for the exact amount with tip and gratuity for a massage. It was $0.01 short (their fault because they gave him the total) ... which I was made to put on my charge card. After spending $427 I feel the request for the penny was petty and ridiculous.
