My time at Smith was transformative. I could not be more grateful for the experience I had as a student and continue to have as an alumna connected to the wonder of this place and these people.
Smith was and remains an exceptional educational experience and my involvement and their support made a significant positive difference in my life path. I wish every woman could have the same nurturing, stimulating and rigorous education Smith offers.
It was the best 4 yrs of my life. One of the high lights was the riding department and the people involved. The stable care and horses were the very worst, Now that you have excellent stable indoor and out door rings good donated horses not left over camp horse and major inter college competitions it is rumored that you are closing it down. A fantastic school. As a graduate of Mount Holyoke I cherish all the women I have met who went to Sister Colleges.
A national treasure. Smith is one of the finest academic institutions in the country and it produces critical thinkers and leaders across industries.
Amazing place! So smart! You will never meet a better, more capable group of women. First rate!
I saw a 1/11/17 Facebook post that you are closing down the equestrian program. Is this true? I learned to ride at Smith, and thirty years later am now a horse owner. It was part of my unique experience at Smith, and I would hate to see other students without former access to horses lose this experience. Please respond. Wendy Duncan '78
Closing the equestrian facility without opening the discussion up to alumnae and students.... leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Shame on you Smith College.
After generations of use, Smith wants to close their equestrian facility, which was constructed and upgraded through many gifts and donations from alumnae and supporters. The character, traditions and flavor of the college are being changed by the current new administration, it is not what it used to be. As an '88 alumna, I currently would not attend this school nor would I recommend it.
Smith College has a 4.3 star rating with 332 reviews.
Smith College is closed now. It will open at 9:00 a.m.
