Known as Indiana's oldest bar, The Slippery Noodle Inn has seen its share of action. It's a hub for blues in the area, and it has been home to countless wild shows over the years. There's still live blues being played seven days a week. Being located in a great sports town, the Noodle makes itself available to sports fans as well, hosting many a celebration. Even when there's nothing going on, the place is still packed with happy diners and drinkers chowing down on the hearty menu, featuring everything from traditional bar f... read more

Reminded me of The Big Easy in Maiden Lane, Covent Garden London. Food great and the resident band, staff and manager are cool as it comes. A MUST VISIT venue.
I was there yesterday while at Penn State Wisconsin game was going on. They continue to serve people alcohol after they were too drunk! They had undercover security which did not have any markings on them but they would approach people and put their hands on patrons without telling them that they were security and giving them a reason why there are being escorted out. As a father to the one boy I had asked the bartender to cut him off three times before she did. But the last time I said I will not sign his credit card for the... read more
Business response:
We had a Penn State Crowd. Played their fight song every hour or so, had members of the Alumni introduce our bands. Nobody gets asked to leave for "yelling out Penn State pride". Every employee working Security wears a Slippery Noodle T shirt. We do not have the funds to hire undercover Security. Every single person escorted out is given the chance to leave on their own. 99% of them wish to leave on their own. Every now and then someone does not and our Security escorts them out. I am not sure what bartender over served your... read more

The best and oldest bar in the City. You cannot find better music or blues lovers without going to the Mississippi Delta
If you only visit one bar in Indy, DIS IS IT! You don't ever have to look up who's on stage because I have literally never seen a bad band at the Slippery Noodle. They bring in some of the best musicians in the country and in this small venue you can't help but have a good time. If you like to dance, there isn't a ton of room but I've certainly flung a gal or two (including my own mother lol) across the floor at the Noodle. I live in Denver now but every time I come back home to Indianapolis I have to visit the Noodle becaus... read more
Loved the food and the service was amazing once we sat down, however, getting to the table on our own in that large building was a bit irritating.
