They provide a helpful service, BUT they make it virtually impossible to cancel your account. They force you to confirm a digital request via your user dashboard to cancel by calling a phone number. Then they never answer it. They also never return voicemails. Email support won't help. Chat help is rude and has literally no power to do anything. BEWARE, SiteLock is "Hotel California", once you do business with them you can literally never leave.
DO NOT let them talk you into an annual plan I was mislead that they could solve my problem and it would have been much less expensive to handle as a one off. Even better, use some other service.
The staff was misleading, overcharged, and ultimately never solved the problem they were paid to resolve. They then continued to threaten, intimidate, and require further payment for services they didn't even successfully perform in the first case. Our Educational Non-profit website was hacked and SiteLock got us protected at a price we could afford. They report weekly on attacks and have prevented any further intrusions over the past 18 months. Their customer Service has been among the best I have experienced. A real person on the phone in less than a minute. Someone who could understand the problem and fix it without any nonsense like "I'll have to escalate this".
The customer service support was excellent! Each person I spoke with seemed to be very competent in their area, but moreover, seemed interested in helping me resolve my situation. The follow-up was very good. All were professional, polished, and personable.
My SiteLock rep, Justin, has always been friendly, professional, and easy going. I was not experienced with the issue of site security. He was continuously patient and eager to help me understand my choices and security coverage options and issues. I'd rank him and Sitelock 10 stars if your system allowed it.
great response to recent billing problem, which happened just prior to Memorial Day Weekend; first call on Sunday explained lots of issues, including having to open Google Chrome as browser to see the Dashboard properly and make sure the issue my bank was resolved prior to Tuesday when Billing would be open; calls with Agent Mikala went very well, she seemed to know even more than the Tech folks; finally the payment cleared to my credit card and Mikala decreed that everything is done -- so my website continues to be protecte... read more
