I have had the worst experience here of all time. I was a poor university student and was pressured by one of their agents into signing papers which at the time he didn’t tell me that it was non refundable. I lost around £2000 due to the poor management
Great service from the office staff start to finish of my tenancy. The maintenance guys are also really friendly. Sadly I’ve moved on from York now but thank you for making my stay so enjoyable. Such a nice letting experience compared to some others I have had.
My child rented one of Sinclairs properties whilst a Student at York. The property had serious damp issues. Despite advising the agency immediately upon moving in , they simply dragged their feet and nothing was done until the end of the achedemic year by which time my child was moving out. The property was not in a fit state to rent out given the new regulations regarding damp issues. The damp was obviously apparent at the time of the property being advertised yet they still offered it for rent. Make up your own mind.
It was a decent experience, house was nice. They were very fair for the deposits me and my housemates received back in full amount. The reason this is not five stars is because they took ages to get rid of the mould in my room which made me ill and it took them weeks for someone to come over and get rid of it. Another downside was the application process where you have to put down five properties and see a few weeks later wether if your group was successful in the application process. Apart from this there was no issues
