The hotel is nice, but will be better when they finish all the renovations and put more activities in it. Our first room had burn marks on the carpet, bed head board, and tub, but the concierge was extremely helpful and changed our room without hesitation, and our second room was very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only negative was that the showerhead in the shower in both rooms were very low. I'm only about 5'7", and it was around eye level, so my 6'1" husband had to bend down to actually wash his hair. Lol ... read more
Room was good hotel looked nice but for a Friday night the place was dead with 6 cars in the parking lot and we were the only ones in the restaurant. Yet comfy beds and the food was good, just don't expect a large crowd.
Very impressed with our suite. It is beautifully decorated, modern, clean, absolutely Bangin!
We stayed here because it was the cheapest for a Saturday night! For the price it was great though most of the hotel is blocked due to no casino there really is not much to do there now that trump Taj Mahal is closed this hotel is now away from everything, it needs a casino or something to use up all that wasted space. The wife and I booked a room last Thursday. We are extremely busy and wanted to get away from the kids for 24 hours to celebrate our belated 17th anniversary that we were both too busy to celebrate on that day. The truth is that there were both pros and cons but the cons overshadowed the pros. Cons: The front desk people were not rude but they were far from friendly. My wife loves the Showboat and in may we will do it big for her Birthday!!
The hubby and I booked a last minute trip this weekend with our service pup and the hotel was more than accommodating! They are pet friendly and are putting in a doggie area too. They greeted us at check in and our pup Dakota also. The staff were great and we had a beautiful junior suite. The only down side was the tv's didn't work but we enjoyed the quiet of the room, the foggy view and the walks on the beach and boardwalk with our pup. First of all, best price for a hotel on the boardwalk on a Saturday night. Our rooms were beautiful. Michael at the front desk was amazing and so super helpful. Will definitely be back.
