So, so, so impressed!! I did a lot of research online and found Sherman Inspection had the best prices and some of the best ratings. I could not have been happier. Steve was there early and he was so nice and helpful. He let us walk around with him and explained everything so thoroughly and gave us advice on how to fix even the little things. Steve was very professional and explained everything. This was not a walk through inspection. Watch out for the long probe and expect Steve to go above and beyond.
Steve was great. He answered a number of questions during initial call when setting up appointment, he was accommodating when I had to change date, and he beat expectations during inspection. I chose him based heavily on past reviews and he didn't disappoint. Ours was a new home, so along with the standard stuff, he was helpful with tips and recommendations beyond normal scope. He was very thorough and patient with my (many, many) questions. I learned a lot about my new home.
The inspection itself went smoothly and every step was explained. But only after we bought the house we found several problems that could be found during inspection. Also results were handwritten with the convoluted references to standard pre-printed notes -not very convenient.
Good work, great price. Offered lots of advice as we went on how to do some of the work ourselves. Would highly recommend!
I have to say Steve is too nice to be an inspector. I really don't like the idea of speaking up the squeaking floor in the bedroom is so easy to fix in front of seller's agent...Other than that, even though I appreciated he arrived early and started his work early, I do prefer he just shows up on time and walk me through everything from the first beginning. Steve Sherman was extremely professional and proficient. I am a first time home buyer, and he made me feel very comfortable with the process.
