I often stop here when I’m cycling. The staff are so helpful and friendly to cyclists. They even offer to bring a jug out for me to refill my water bottles. The food is also delicious with freshly-made sandwiches, good coffee and excellent cakes.
Very good Tea room in a picturesque location with a wide variety of food and drinks all at very reasonable prices. Update 2024 - Sadly the presentation of the cream teas has dropped. Whereas before your tea and scones were served in/on China/Pottery cups, saucers and plates. The scones are now cellophane packed and the tea & jam in disposable containers.
Great little shop/deli to stop by if you’re doing a route at the national trust park. Decent coffee and cakes.

I was on holiday and we were doing a circular walk around Sherbourne Estate. The route was well marked, muddy and wet in places. Our route took us past the local village shop which doubles as a cafe. We were absolutely delighted to find this open and serving tea and coffee in December. It was dry and mild enough to sit outdoors. The shop was busy as others were enjoying the cafe also.
