They tend to like to put you next to the elevator or the ice machine or the front of the building quite low, so you never get any sleep. Awesome burning grocery cart in front his morning guys, I enjoyed watching the Sacto Arson unit standing around watching!
I attended an event at the Sheraton. The hotel itself was very nicely decorated for the holidays. We were provided with refreshments in the morning, a delicious lunch, desserts on afternoon break and cocktails and appetizers following our afternoon session. Everything was well prepared, delicious and appealing to the eye. The staff and servers were all courteous. A wonderful event!
Not impressed at all. Hotel doesn't live up to the Marriott standard (since the two are merging). Management doesn't care about or recognize your Marriott status. Won't stay here ever again.

I booked a reservation over a week ago, it was confirmed for the listed rate for 2 nights. When we arrived, we were told a FORTY PERCENT deposit was required. I have never heard of such a thing. With the deposit, they would hold over $700 on my card. I refused. The young lady cancelled our reservation, and agreed to do so without charging us a "penalty" of over $250, after I made it clear they could not charge guests for services they did not provide. Still beautiful, however service at the Bar was lacking and walking in to the front door in a cloud cigarette smoke, absorbing into my clothes and face.
