I first met Dr. Smitherman about 3 years ago regarding back pain. I'm very young for my back issues, so her concern with doing surgery on my back was that I hadn't been given conservative options first. She gave me a list of things I needed to try first before considering surgery and said it should be a last resort. I was happy to have a direction and followed the list she gave me. Best choice! Smitherman was so kind and explained everything so well! I would not have any one else do my surgery.
I was very nervous as it seemed most times my pain issues were ignored. Dr. Smitherman patiently waited as I gathered my emotions and listened to my concerns. We have a plan going forward and work for me to do. I highly recommend her.
She was very professional, thorough and kind in the quality of the treatment plan she and her office generated for the biopsy and removal of a tumor of a very very rare condition in its type and location. She is warm and welcoming and makes you feel comfortable. You don’t feel rushed. On top of that, she is very knowledgeable and did a great job explaining everything to us. She made a great impression on us and we highly recommend her.
Information regarding diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of lumbar spine condition given with clear communication. Staff in office including Medical Assistant and Radiology technician excellent! I highly recommend her as a provider!
This was follow up to my spinal fusion surgery which was 100% successful . Four months after surgery, I’m walking almost 4 miles a day and completely pain free after 12 years of on and off sciatica pain. It’s a pleasure to see and talk to Dr Smitherman.
I was scheduled for an MRI my ear was damaged when they put plugs in. I could not handle the procedure I'm being billed for nothing I'm so upset $250.00 is a lot of money I'm so traumatized by the experience no help from the office at all.
