Listened to me and was interactive and asked questions.
Excellent surgeon who really cares for her patients. I ended up in ICU with a brain bleed. I had excellent care and I highlly recommend Dr. Smitherman.
In only my second appointment with Dr. Smitherman, she observed that my oncologist seemed too nonchalant about my status (for reasons I shall not elaborate here). She pointed out to me I needed a new oncologist who took greater interest in me. Then she called his office to advise them that she was referring me to him and that she wanted him to take me on. My journey to regaining my mobility and life back, started with a simple office visit and xray. Dr. Smitherman made referrals and recommendations, that I followed through with. And after a ton of paperwork she completed, CT, and MRI. I decided to have back surgery. I can not thank her enough for the life she gave back to me. I've been pain free and my mobility is better than it has been in years. Thank you!
She listened to me and asked questions that would help figure out what is causing my pain. It was not hard to figure out what the next step will be.

The speed at which action was taken, 4 day’s from the time the mass was found it was removed. Also recovery was pretty quick.
I have been seeing Dr. Smitherman for a while. She has addressed my issues professionally and understands my concerns completely. When she felt it prudent, she has made other referrals on my behalf and suggested further consults and treatment. I trust her completely and abide by her recommendations. Top notch neurosurgeon; one I’d recommend to anyone.
