These guys are FANASTIC!! Me family have been going to them for years. I've been building a frog vivarium for my school children, and needed glass cut (cut to prefect size) , then needed it amending, holes drilled in and they didn't charge me for the extra work, really lovely company, highly recommend, thank you!
Needed to have a piece of glass from an old cabinet door down. I took it to Shaws in Faygate they tried to cut it bout it turned out to be toughened glass so couldn’t be cut. Now this is where I was impressed, the man behind the counter didn’t force me into buying anything, he explained that if you cut toughened glass it sparkles that’s how you know what it is and then left. So I called him back and asked if he had any pieces, he looked around, found some and cut it to size while I waited, now that’s service!
A few dats ago my cat knocked the hood off my 250 year old longcase clock and, of course the glass in the hood door was broken. I phoned Shaws for advice and they offered to cut a replacement piece for me while I waited. On arrival a very helpful and friendly gentleman did exactly that for an astonisingly low price and I was on my way within 5 minutes. The glass fitted perfectly and my beloved clock is back to looking it's distinguished self again. Many thanks guys, superb service 😊
