I just got my first tattoo at the age of 42...after almost 20 years in a negative and controlling marriage, I wanted a way to express my freedom and sense of self. The shop was extremely busy, but Shavon and her staff made myself and my boyfriend feel very comfortable and welcome. Shavon talked to me, listened and was patient, let me observe someone else be tattooed, and talked me through the entire process, even adding some flair of her own...and I have a beautiful piece of body art that I can be proud of!

I had a bad tattoo experience where a much less qualified artist misspelled a large tattoo I had on my chest. I thought laser removal was my only option, but Shavon was recommended to me so i went and talked to her. She was booked through mid June, but squeezed me in the next week. The work that was already there took almost 5 hours, she wasn’t happy with the way it looked so she went back over every line that was there, fixed the lettering, added color, and added her own flare in 45 min! I've had two tattoo's done by Shavon and plan on a third soon. She also created art for my husband and son. She listens to what the customer wants and works diligently to give you a true piece of art. I'm extremely pleased with the work, the friendly environment and her patience in making me me feel relaxed. She has the ability to do great quality work while making the experience fun, she is a true artist!

I have had several tattoos, not big ones, - my husband has had several and there are several I have wanted for years. I have been searching for the "right" person to do my next tatto.. i have seen several tattoos that are less the spectacular, not bad - but just lines of ink on the arm. Taylor went in for his fifth tattoo and when we walked in, I was more than ready to walk out. But while we waited, i watched Shavon with a difficult client and my opinion changed 180 degrees. I disagree with most of the comments on how wonderful the experience is at Shavon's. I am not impressed and actually pretty pissed off. I just got back from Shavon's so she could check out the tattoo she did four weeks ago. I wanted something "more", but couldn't put it in the right words apparently. I found her to be defensive, unprofessional, and seemingly uncaring. She was also somewhat confused about our previous conversations concerning the tattoo. Shavon is a one of kind artist that you can trust and know for sure your tattoo will come out perfect every time. I have had tattoo's done by a few other plaes and after going to purple lotus, i would never go anywhere again. Shavon has to fix my other tattoo's because the one she did looks so perfect its embarrising haveing the others look so bad. I would recomind anyone in the country or in the world to give her shop a try. You will not regret it. Shavon is awesome. Thats all i can say!! Thank you Purple Lotus.

If you are looking to get a tattoo then you need to go to Shavon's! I was on the fence about whether I should get my first tattoo or not and then I saw her work. Her talent made up my mind to finally get one. Her studio is very calming and relaxing. Nothing like you would think a tattoo establishment would look like. Everything is very professional and clean. I loved my experience at the purple lotus. I felt very welcome and comfortable the entire time i was there. Shavon really made my experience worth every second and every penny spent. I will never ever even consider going to another tattoo shop to get a tattoo. She made me feel comfortable while getting inked even going through the pain.
