Service was great, host was awesome. The views were awesome! The food needs a little work... Fried clam strips batter had little to no seasoning or salt. Lobster roll had shells in it which is awful, chowder was one of the best I've had, fish tacos were great. I'll return but hopefully someone takes the criticism and utilizes it!

Stopped in today for soft shelled crabs and was not disappointed! There were four in my group and we all thought the food was great The only other place I have had soft shelled crabs is in SC( several different places) and these were as good as any I've had there. Kudos to the chef. A suggestion for another season would be to offer an appetizer of soft shelled crabs served with a nice dipping sauce. 😊
We had a great meal and great service - even on a busy day! Can't wait for the new huge deck to be open! That is such a great improvement and eating out on that deck overlooking the lake will be spectacular!!!
W e have been going to the "Shanty" since the early 60s. Best fish restaurant in VT.
Had captains platter , it was excellent the best I’ve had in a long time !
I must have gone on a bad day. They served part of my meal and told me they forgot my side dishes. Then brought them out 15 minutes later. And charged full price, even though my friend had finished her meal before I got mine. A manager did not even great us.
