I'm new to kayaking. I knew Shank's Mare had a good selection of Kayaks, and knew how I wanted to use a boat but needed guidance to find the right boat to fit what I was looking for. I spent a fair amount of time talking with Devin and he was a great guide to finding the right fit. I'm very happy with the the kayak that I now have and with the price I paid. Great place with knowledgeable and helpful folks.

Friendly and knowledge staff gave us quite a fun time at their paddle taste and dine.
My wife and I live very close to the river and needed a way to get out on the water and do some fishing. We went back and forth between a boat and kayaks. We ended up deciding to do kayaks, and Shank's Mare was great in helping us newbies out! They really know their stuff and are very helpful. After our buying experience I can't imagine going anywhere else!
My best friend invited me to paddleboard yoga. I have done a ton of yoga but zero paddleboard. The instructors were amazing and were a great help! Amazing experience! Will definitely be doing it again in the future!
