Established in 1978, Shank's Mare Outfitters is located in an historic 1880's General store building on the banks of the Susquehanna River. Our 10 retail rooms feature clothing and gear for kayaking, walking and hiking, and cross country skiing and snowshoeing. A wide range of outdoor accessories compliments our great selection of products in a truly unique Outfitters Shop. We also offer a full calender of lessons, trips, tours, kids camps, and field trips.

Friday night unwind, kayaking
Great place, everyone was knowledgeable and very helpful. Awesome customer service, they helped me with all the accessories I needed and showed me how to mount my kayak on my suv. I would highly recommend, you will not be disappointed!
