Virginia Beach General has always given the best care whether i have been in the ED or on the floor. im so grateful for such wonderful staff and nurses. Last night when I was there they even walked me to my car at 4am. My only concern is for the staff to have a cop on duty for the safety of the staff and patients.

Business response:

Thank you for your positive comments. It is our pleasure to serve this community. -KS

In these hard times everyone is scared. What i dont understand is why is this hospital not testing patients with Covid-19 systems unless they have a fever. So many people have contracted the virus and didn't have a fever right away. This Hospital would risk sending a patient home that has all the symptoms of covid-19 just because they don't have a fever is wrong.

I had a major surgery at SVBGH on March 31, 2020. I came in a little nervous because of the no visitors policy, being left alone in an unfamiliar place for a major surgery that had to be done. Each and every staff I interacted with was very welcoming and accommodating to my needs. My aftercare team 2 South Oncology were awesome! Even though we are going through a lot as a country with this COVID-19, they treated me like it was a normal day. I am very thankful and appreciative for all that you did during my stay!

Is it protocol to send a suicidal/homicidal patient without insurance home? There is a video now circulating of your staff. Shame on you! As a mental health care worker You handled this situation poorly.

My sister who is terminally ill has been treated terrible at this hospital. She was taken in nonresponsive put on a bed in the hall by a door for hours! left on an ER bed with soiled linens for hours! Then on a dirty bed pan for 45 mins. My cousin had to flip out to get her a bed and a room. They also starved her! This is inhumane treatment. Please don't take or let your family members be taken to this place.
