Get directionsHad surgery there today and the staff was great. Liz was my main nurse and she was kind, understanding, and never made me feel uncomfortable about anything. She even made sure to do everything she could for me from getting my prescription delivered to me there so I didn't have to go to the pharmacy and made sure I got to go home the same day. Wish I had caught her last name but I believe she was nurse for Dr. Roger's.
The treatment my father received this past week was absolutely appalling, the nursing staff could have cared less. The man was not fed properly, his teeth were not brushed, went into room and 2 trays of food were stacked on the table, breakfast and lunch and it was dinnertime, all untouched. The same container of opened applesauce was on his table for 2 days. A nurse came in to take his blood pressure and tried to take in on his lymphatic arm, that has a wristband stating not to as well as big signs posted on the doorframe e... read more
On Thursday I was taken by ambulance to SVBGH ED with a bad reaction to an occipital nerve block. I was cared for flawlessly. The staff were kind, compassionate, caring and really wanted to help. I don’t remember much of the beginning but my eternal thanks to (forgive me if I misspell) triage RN and registration (I don’t remember the names) PA Caitlin, RN Julimar, Tech Babette, Pt representative Jami and ED manager Andrea (If I didn’t mention your name it is not b/c You didn’t effect me, it’s only because I honestly did not ... read more
tear it down and start again
Absolutely terrible experience going down right now. First - they were out of morphine when I got out of surgery. So we already were behind the pain for starters. Tonight, behind the pain again and the nurse seems to not care and I’m being forced to set my alarm to make sure I get medicine when I’m supposed to. So much for any type of rest. Would not recommend err having surgery here.
Took my 13 girl there was told to go there to be seen by the Dr we saw at patient first. Took X-ray and PA At vbgh never looked at the X-ray wrote a script for opiates and ant nausea gave us the numbers of some orthos and sent us on our way. I know there is not much they can do for a fractured clavical but her arm was numb and discolored. They refused to let a dr look at her or her xrays. 🤷♀️🤦♀️
The best care I have ever had was in the endoscope lab. Thanks to all and Thank You!
Terrible service. Will not return.
They could not even forward the get well cards I sent my sister...they said return to sender... Glad I live in Christiansburg Va...and do not have to go to a hospital that thinks so little of the welfare of its patients.... TOO BAD....
