HOA's are a scam. Take it from a naive first time home buyer, if you see Associa-HOA...RUN. far and fast. This company is terrible, they charge higher than average rates for less than average service. Thought it might be industry standard at first....lots of headaches and wasted dollars later....never again. They will charge you through the nose...and cover very little if anything.

I own a town home in an ASSOCIA managed community in Colorado Springs. I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW ASSOCIA RATES A+ with ONLY ONE POSITIVE REVIEW AND 26+ NEGATIVE REVIEWS. BBB THIS DOES NOT MAKE SENSE! The worst company I ever had to deal with. They communication practice is nonexistent, they just ignore you until you either give up, or contact their corporate office.
I feel I must compliment MRCM for the timely manner in which they resolved the flood in my home and restored things. They came after hours, the trades followed the damage was contained.
Run away from this company. Poor recommendations made to board of directors, then all blame is put on them. Favorite phrase out of the property manager's mouth is "the board decided". While, that may be true, the strong recommendations made to the board only serve the interests of KT, not the property. Condescending personnel. Horrid phone system. Very self serving.
C-era Property Management / Accocia - Worst Property Management in Calgary. Sends out wrong invoices to wrong units for work that's been done. Disrespectful community managers. Takes weeks to months to get emergency repairs done. Takes weeks to get standard maintenance done. The company does not provide valuable service to the community. It avoids dealing with homeowners direct questions and valid concerns. It charges for copies of records, but does not deliver the requested information.
If you are looking for incompetence, laziness and rudeness, Community Management Corporation (CMC)/Associa in Chantilly, Virginia is the company for you! This is the only organization that I have had to file a police report on after both me and my condo were threatened by one of its employees. The reason for the threat: an engineer from a five star company asked if he could look in a closet outside my condo.
