I was contacted by Seldoc to attend their clinic in Tessa Jowell medical centre following a NHS 111 call. NHS advised I had a phone appointment the next morning so was not expecting this call just before midnight. I went in on Wednesday at 7:15pm for a sore throat as I regularly get tonsillitis (roughly every 6 - 12 weeks) since I was a child. When I went in the doctor wouldn’t really ever let me finish what I was saying always cutting me off. He looked in my throat and said oh well just buy some soothing spray. I was coded into A&E by the out of hours service here with a kidney infection - the doctor had mentioned suspected appendicitis to me but failed to include this suspicion anywhere in my notes. As a direct result of this I was not treated as an emergency and waited five hours to see a doctor at A&E. When I was finally admitted to hospital nearly nine hours after presenting to SELDOC I had a ruptured appendix with peritonitis. I had a terrible experience at the hands of Dr. Alan Campion. I was given an emergency appointment at 10.20 pm at night, I was having fever and a very soar throat. I have a medical condition that i explained to the doctor and I mentioned in previous instances I have been prescribed antibiotics as I had an experience where I was late to receiving treatment and I ended up on the IV. Doctor who saw me at Tessa Jowell in Dulwich this evening was as useful as a chocolate teapot. My tonsils are so swollen and red it feels I have a gold ball in my throat, my voice sounds muffled and I cannot swallow. She said my throat looked fine. I then asked if she saw my tonsils and she said no. She then looked again. So why would she say she saw them to begin with.
