I am an employee at Scripps Chula vista 4th floor DOU...my father was a pt at Scripps mercy san diego in the ER on sunday....I'm so grateful that the staff and doctors were so wonderful towards him...My father said you all were very kind and he didn't have to wait long and the staff didnt know I was employed by Scripps....My father means everything to me and it just warms my heart to know he received such good care! My son is currently in this hospital after sustaining a head injury last night. He is a Sailor in the USN and they couldn't be bothered to call his immediate family and let us know if he was okay! Now.... many hours later, they are transferring him to Balboa and I still have received no information!!!!! If this is a standard practice for a hospital trauma center, maybe your Board of Directors and Chief of Trauma need to rethink their whole process.
