Didn't get the ocean view that we paid for, light in bathroom was out..couldnt really see myself in the bathroom mirror..order room service the night before for 7:45 or 8:00 am it arrived close to 8:30 am..and it was very pricey too:..she forgot the orange jucie..lol..lol..and next time we are staying across the street at Homewood suites..also we had to pay to park on the premises..and the people next door fought all night..very loud and started back about 630 in the morning...
Beautiful waterfront experience that , I certainly enjoyed!! I think it's very pricey for the room stay plus an additional fee for parking which , I didn't have to pay because of the type of event, I was attending. The event personnels was very helpful and nice in regarding any questions, I may have had as to table decor. The bell hops just made my work load much easier with assisting me with moving my large carrying tote and other items for the event. I give five stars because of the service provided by the hotel!! We stayed here for my 40th birthday and even though the hotel was under construction the team left me a birthday surprise in my room that was a "survival kit of Savannah". This was a great added touch that I really appreciated!!
The reason it was not 1 star is because the staff was extremely friendly and I enjoyed the nice bar and views from lobby. My stays with Marriotts have always been wonderful so I trusted the name. This is not a typical Marriott. The linens had stains and were clearly worn, stray hairs on my sheets. Cleanliness wasn't spectacular, my view was of the dumpsters and port-a-potties from construction. The room are wonderful, from the bedding to the large bathrooms. With the hotel being right on the river walk, in less than 5 minutes you can go to the wonderful restaurants and shops.
Great hotel...location and view of river is amazing. Great access to major Savannah attractions!
My wife has been a Marriott gold member for 6 years and stayed at many Marriott's over the years, different Marriott brands and in different cities. This is the first time she's had a disappointing experience. She has never written a review in all of those years. We were here for a nieces wedding and booked three rooms.
