We stopped in Savannah on the way back home from the Marriott Ocean Pointe and decided to stay at a Marriott. The staff is wonderful. Very friendly and helpful. Our room was nicely decorated, but the renovation work was questionable at best. The doors don't reach the floor, so light and noise from hallway and room next door permeated our room. It was in a good area nice for the Riverwalk easy access but I did read that they were under construction the noise of the construction I really didn't care for the room that I receive looking over the lobbying that was a good Plus I was confused to why the swimming pool was in the parking lot deck didn't know how to get there but it's all good I did visit the gym didn't have everything that I needed to do my exercise but it worked a nice place to stay while you're in Savannah on vacation they accommodated us very well
My room smelled like mildew... my view was of Air condition units. When I book I requested to have two beds they put me in a room with one king bed and said they would bring a rollaway bed. The rollaway bed came the mattress felt like springs. The toilet consistently ran. The fire alarm went off twice...No microwave or refrigerator in the rooms. My keys didn't work the 2nd day I tried calling the front desk to bring up new ones no answer after a long day of being out with no answer and having to wait on elevators sucked. The... read more

Yes, it's under renovations. However, the service was wonderful! The Water view room was spectacular to watch the ships come down the river. The room door was cut off too short. We had to stuff a towel down to hide all the light. But the hotel is doing a great job during their upgrades. It's not easy to make this happen while keeping the customers happy. I will make this my hotel of choice when we visit Savannah again! We loved it!
I will start with the positive, the staff is very nice. My husband and I booked a 2 night stay for a weekend get away. Our room was renovated, recently however smelled very strongly of paint. The construction was not an issue for us, however the hotel may need to talk to the contractor as some of the workmanship is a little shoddy.
