Sassafras is an eclectic “Chalkboard” style restaurant. The progressive menu allows our experienced kitchen staff to incorporate a myriad of culinary skills acquired over the years. We work closely with local vendors, farms, breweries, wineries, bakeries, and coffee roasters. Buying local allows us to present fresh, high quality food, and beverages. Our new setup has a stage, dance floor, and is nestled at a historic location next the the Carson Hot Springs in Carson City, Nevada.

Salmon tacos weee very good. Glad we split them. Terrific staff!
2nd time there, husband had the fried cheese burger - took 1/2 home and fresh cut fries. I had the muffa----? (Capicolla, salami, ham and chopped olives on a hard roll. While I liked it, it did need some sort of spread like mayo and the roll was over hard and crunchy instead of chewy. Will go again, want to try the pizza and the steak salad
