Lakeside bistro featuring local and sustainable ingredients. Sardine is located in the historic Machinery Row building (est. 1846) on the shores of lake Monona, in the heart of Madison, Wisconsin. Our menu features artisanal cheeses, fresh shellfish and seafood, braised and roasted meats. Bar opens at 4:00 and offers signature drinks, local and imported tap beers and a well-rounded wine list. Saturdays and Sundays brunch is served from 9-2:30.

Fantastic dining. Flavors were awesome...had the pork tenderloin and the salmon...perfection! Wait staff, Matt and hostess, Rachel, were fun and informative. Definitely going back next time we are in Madison.

Came back after a fabulous experience last fall. Then, even though it was packed, we had a great time eating appetizers at the bar until we were seated at our table overlooking the lake. This time it was just as pleasant. Amazingly delicious food, great wine and the service could not have been more accommodating, knowledgeable and attentive. The waiter even helped us snag one of the last reservations for UW-Madision graduation day in May.
Hands down the best brunch in Madison. They also have one of the best burgers and bloodies in the game. I just wish they would bring back the braised pork sandwich, it was the cat's PJs.

Love the service, vibe, and of course the food and drink. Susan, Jesse, are a couple of our faves. Everyone has a smile for Jim. We are regular brunch goers to this sweet and savory lakeside spot.
Relaxed atmosphere, great quality food � & service!
Outstanding brunch!!! Really loved the variety. Desserts were excellent, too.
When I visit my daughter in Madison Sardine is always in our plans.
