I was an established patient at UAB eye foundation hospital for many years. I have several autoimmune diseases and when I had a severe eye infection I was unable to see my doctor at UAB. Dr. Gordon was recommended by my daughter and I was able to get in to see her immediately. She was kind, very thorough in the exam, and came up with a treatment plan understanding how my autoimmune issues affect my healing process. I have been Dr. Gordon’s patient for years. She is very thorough and professional, explains everything completely and answers all questions. I never feel that she is rushing through her time with me and gives me her complete attention. She also wants to know about any health issues going on in my life so she understands any issues that might affect my eyesight. Great doctor.
There are not adequate words to articulate how much our family appreciates Dr. Gordon and her staff. My husband raved that Dr. Gordon did the most thorough eye exam of his lifetime, and she’s gone above and beyond caring for my recurrent corneal erosions, the latest being in both eyes. I arrived at Dr. Gordon's office late on a Thursday afternoon in terrible pain and no vision in my right eye. Dr. Gordon described my cornea as 'mush.' She asked several pertinent questions and immediately diagnosed my condition. Even though her office was closed on Friday and she had out-of-town plans, she met me at the office early that Friday morning to check my eye again, and also advised me to come in again on Monday to confirm my eye was healing.
