Terrible bed side manner. In fact, if I could rate any lower than "poor" on the stars, I would select that. He says "you have a little blood in your urine", even though I didn't even know nor have symptoms until he told me. This went straight from "come back in, we'll do a ultrasound and then immediately follow up with a cystoscopy", which in case you don't know is a big metal rod stuck into your urethra while you're awake, and that's after a metal clamp is placed on your penis. No thanks.
Dr. Saracino never talked to me about my mother in the hospital but put in his notes that he did talk to me and that I had refused a cystoscopy for her. He never spoke to me, I still have not met him (and was there at the hospital every day), and I did not refuse that treatment. Fortunately, my mother improved without his help. I will never take her to see him, go to him myself, nor recommend him to anybody.
Never, mom has chronic urinary tract infections that he couldn't help her with. Told her she has to live with it. Never had her check to see if was caused by colon, intestines or uterus. When she said she was going to live with her children in NY, he told her good, maybe the doctors up there can solve your problems. P.S. of the 4 times mom had a visit she only saw his PA and she only wanted to talk about what she ate. Mom suffers with pain below her belly button, still.
I am very pleased with the level of care I have been getting- I tend to have stones and feel great that my 6 month check-ups catch the stones before the stones cause problems. No problem getting appt.
Dr. Saracino was recommended to me by my insurance company to have my kidney removed after being diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma. During the surgery that was to take 3 hours, and actually took only 1.5 hrs, I was left with a severed nerve cluster and my lung wired with suture string. The only picture of the mass removal was on his cell phone. The hospital has no video, audio or pictures from the surgery. Only found out about the severed nerve from a pain doctor that I saw after the surgery.
Extremely unprofessional. Dr. Saracino curses, he's rude, and he does not explain things. He rushes you into costly procedures without giving you information, including cost. If he spends 30 seconds with you, be surprised, because he does not have time for anyone. One thing to note, the staff there is great. The doctor, not so much. He literally spoke to me from the hallway without entering the room, broadcasting my situation to the entire office. Sad.
I have a 93 year old family member that is being treated by Dr. Saracino. I live 1000 miles away. As the designated health care surrogate I expect to be kept informed of how his treatment is progressing, especially after he was unexpectedly sent to the ER after a procedure was preformed that was supposed to fix the problem. I called the docs office, left a very specific question and haven't received a response. I don't care how good a doc he may be but lack of communication is inexcusable.
Doesnt listen to his patients and has no time for them. If he gives you 5 mins you will be lucky. I never put down anyone but when they leave you in pain I have to draw the line. I hope others have better luck but for me I wasnt the lucky one I guess.
Dr. Saracino communicates well. I am uncomfortable with doctors who cannot or will not keep me informed and Dr. Saracino has kept me informed about my somewhat complicated condition and upcoming procedure.
