Disappointed! – After reading the reviews on citysearch, my family and I went to the Sang Kee Peking Duck House. The food was very disappointing. I have had much better chinese cuisine in New Jersey. If you are looking for a place to get pan-fried noodles, general tso's chicken, and shrimp dumplings - DO NOT START HERE!!!

Sang Kee Peking Duck House – This is a great place to eat for authentic food. Great service, wonderful dishes, great place for families. If you love asian food and want to introduce your kids to something beyond "fried rice" this is the place to GO!

No "Sang Kee" (Thank Ye) – My friend and her family think that this is the best Chinese restaurant in Chinatown. I disagree. I think this restaurant is way overrated. The food is below average and bland. I am a sucker for Chinese food, and having been to hundreds of Chinese restaurants, Sang Kee ranks one of the poorest restaurants I have been to. I came here with a huge family and they were all disappointed by the food (they're Chinese foodies too). Our waiter had a personality of a traffic cone and the quickness of one too... read more

Duck! – The Peking duck is so outstanding I almost forget there is more to the menu. When I deviate from the holy grail of crispy delicious duck heaven and order something else, I am always satisfied. It's tough parking and sometimes there is a bit of a wait, but it is entirely 100% worth every inconvenience. Plus, duck fat, although not as good as olive oil (but close) is loaded with mono-unsaturated fats, the kind that helps good cholesterol. So it's not *that* bad for you !

Good Wonton Soup! – The wonton soup here is good- almost as good as grandma's. The food ranges from typical Chinese American food with gluey sauces, to more interesting and traditional dishes which are pretty good. A good place for people more new to Chinese food and for groups. The service is pretty poor - the waitstaff seem to forget your existence after serving the dishes.

Authentic Chinese at a reasonable price – I usually come to this spot because the service is very fast and the food is top notch. The prices here are not outrageous. I highly suggest the Peking duck. The roast pork and duck over rice with green vegetable is also great. I only wish they put more shrimp dumplings in the noodle soup. They also need to expand to credit card users. The cash only establishment is not very convenient. Overall, the fast service, good food and reasonable prices make this restaurant tops in Chinatown.... read more

Awful service – I went to the place for the first time yesterday and was very disappointed by its service. There were couple idling servers and yet I had to wave at them couple times for one to approach you. The attitude of the waiter was arrogant and became impatient when I asked about the Peiking duck. The dishes came without small plates and we had to do our usual "wave until someone sees" thing to get the plates. We ordered two small bowl of rice and was given a large one and charged accordingly. Even Le Bec Fin wouldn't... read more

Cheap good food – I ordered roasted chicken, roasted duck and roasted pork over rice. It was very good. The service was quick and prompt. I highly recommend this place more for lunch than dinner. The atmosphere is just not good enough (aka. romantic enough) for dinner. The other con is that they do not accept credit card and I'm big on swiping plastic, it's just not convenient. But other than that, I do recommend this restaurant.

simply sang kee – it doesn't get any more convenient than this. this is the ultimate "get a quick bite to eat for a little bit of cash and leave" experience in chinatown. as a chinese american, this isn't your average take out american style chinese food restaurant. this is a lot more authentic. their food is quite fresh and it usually comes out within minutes from time of order. i would recommend trying their noodle soups as well as their other small platters. clams and fried squid are also pleasant.
