I am filing a complaint against a Greystar affiliated property because my significant other and I were denied our application with no valid reasoning as to why. We have been trying to move in 2 weeks prior and were denied because we had outstanding balances on previous properties however paid the other property balances and submitted appropriate documentation stating that we did. Normally I wouldn't leave review for an apartment complex management company (******** **** ***********, but I don't want someone to move in and experience the same misfortunes as I did (and other people I've spoken to regarding similar issues). I am a resident of a Greystar owned community, ***** ***** **********. In the last year of my residency, our living experience has been abysmal, and the customer service has been even worse. There are consistent issues with our unit, as well as grounds that are not kept up. The biggest issue with our unit has been our refrigerator. We reached out to Greystar FOUR TIMES to fix our refrigerator, which was not cooling (albeit we did cancel one of our service requests due to COVID concerns). This place is terrible. MY WIFE AND I ARE PAYING ABOUT $2,000 A MONTH ON A 15 MONTH LEASE AND ONE APARTMENT DOWN FROM US THEY ARE RENTING THE APARTMENT OUT AS AN AIR BnB. THEIR ARE DIFFERENT PEOPLE COMING IN JUST ABOUT EVERY WEEKEND. SOME HAVE SCREAMING CHILDREN RUNNING UP AND DOWN THE HALL AND OTHERS HAVE HAD A PET WITH THEM. OUR KIDS AND GRANDKIDS AREN'T ALLOWED TO USE THE AMENITIES BUT THE WEEKENDERS THEY ALLOW IN HAVE THE RUN OF THE PLACE. The Grove Deer Valley who is under Greystar Management is a horrible place to live! It all starts with Denise E***** the suppose manager, Marsha who works in the office and doesn’t know anything! All staff that work there are trained improperly, they over charge in rent, they miscommunicate with residents! I have filed a police report against Denise E***** for harassment! I have been a a resident at Carlyle at south mountain apartment homes off of **** ** *** ********* rd in Phoenix, AZ for over a year and a half. Have paid rent on time never had any issues and never made any waves. Jus recently they did there annual “fire extinguishers” inspection. last year when this was done I had called the front office and advised I never had an extinguisher in my apartment. June 29: I moved into alterra in La Mesa, California. I overlooked continued maintenance problems with my apartment from day one. My major issues began late July when I began to experience skin irritation and respiration issues. For weeks, I tried to work with staff to figure out the cause. Greystar ruins apartments Review for one of their apartments I lived in near Washington DC The first couple years I lived in this apartment it was managed by Wood Residential, and everything was great. The second Greystar took over this property, everything was awful. I’ve lived here for ten years. Greystar brought my the building I’m living in. OkI haven’t been paying the rent on time and has had a lot of bounced checks but, I paid every cent I owed! You are right about bogus charges! They charged me $75 for a bounced check, and they are throwing me out on the street because I paid my rent late. I am disabled, in ten years my health has declined and I have trouble remembering so sometimes I forget.. I have to be out by the end of August and have no where to go.
