This apartment has fake advertising on their website. Apartments look nothing like the ones they are showing- they are all run down and leaking and ugly. You can tell a lot about a management company by the first step into the building. If you step into this building, it looks like the carpets are from 40 years ago and it smells in there. If I get give a rating of 0 I would. Think twice before signing a lease and moving into this property. There were problems from DAY ONE. My gate keyfobs were never programmed and took over a week AFTER moving in, to get them. My name was never put into the visitor call box - resulting in me being locked out on day 3 of moving in. I just moved out and received ** move out instructions from chestnut hill village in ************, **. I called the week prior to moving out before I moved to ******, ** and they told me nothing about what needed to be returned. I put my key in through my door slot and left for ******. I find out today they are going to charge me for not returning a parking sticker (of note they will not be able to reuse this sticker). They dont do business well. Greystar allowed a leak in my roof to continue until the ceiling collapsed on my dog in his kennel. They continually stated that this has been fixed although we were sending pictures, videos, and evidence of mold to them. Still they did not reply with any helpful information, advice, or maintenance. They continually blamed third parties for their stupid mistakes and basically refused to service us until our insurance stated they are liable due to the 7 weeks of negligence. If I could have given negative stars I would have...DO NOT RENT here! This has hands down been the worst experience in renting I have ever had- on all accounts. Do not be fooled!! The pictures are very deceptive! None of the apartments look like they are advertised, and the amenities are never open. I had the worst experience with this community and the very rude, disrespectful unwilling to help people who they have "managing" the property *EXCEPT VALEETA SHES AMAZING AND SHOULD BE MANAGING*. AWFUL AWFUL OWNERSHIP!! Totally disappointed in this complex (Avana Desert View). Everything is decent until move out. I completed paperwork per their request for move out. They did not send out my final invoice to the address I provided and they are now demanding payment when they are in violation. Don’t rent here or anywhere where Greystar is the owners. Too bad because their onsite staff is very friendly.
