Student There are a lot of camera shops in LA and being a photography student I've been to many of them. This is by far the best. Not only do they have an amazing selection , but the staff is super helpful and always help you find what you're looking for.
Always satisfied! Wonderful place! I go here all the time and always have a successful shopping trip. The staff is really great and always makes sure you leave a satisfied customer!
I Could Not Have Been Happier I was a bit skeptical as their prices were WAY below everyone else and there were also some bad reviews on them. BUT! I could not have been happier. Got my wife a Lumix from these guys for her birthday. It got here in time everything was as advertised. And she loved it! Thanks for making me the King on this one.

I love Samy's Camera. I love Samy's Camera. The sales people are knowledgeable and helpful. Here's a hint. If you want to talk to a salesman and really get you questions answered, don't go on the weekend. Midday is the best time to go.
samy's or SNOB'S??? i am willing to spend more $ if customer service is up to par, so i went to samy's WHAT A JOKE! some insider reviews had WARNED of how BAD the employees treat the customers, but i live close and am a warm friendly person who always is treated good, so i went anyway. the first person i ask where the cameras are, just uses his finger to point up, "upstairs?' i say yeah he says as he rolls his eyes. i guess saying the word THREE was beyond his mental capabilities. wasting my time even more! if you go digital do Sammy's I did Sammy's on Sepulveda and got instant, knowledgeable service, and I love my Cannon EOS D40. I was prepared to pay more to shop at a real service establishment like Sammy's, but I was in Costco just the other day and they had the same camera with a lesser lens at the same price I paid. Top quality products, service and price? You can't beat it.
Great for pros, good for non-pros This was a camera store that was tailor made for the professional photographer, but it isn't a bad place to go shopping (or at least educate yourself) if you're just a family photographer. You might get a better deal online or in a non-speciality store, but you won't get the same level of service you get at Samy's.
Unless you're a pro shooter, don't bother This franchise is a great outlet for those well-versed in the nuances of photography. If you're just learning, don't bother though, as the staff could give you the time of day. They'd rather focus on those who already know what they're doing. This type of arrogance is very annoying, and intimidating, only reinforcing the snobbishness that permeates the art world.
