I sent my MRI from MI to Dr. Samuel Koo. He immediately responded by personal phone call to discuss my options. That same day, Dr. Koo's office manager, Jennefer, emailed me to set up my preop appointments and surgery. Dr. Koo and his physician's assistant, Claudia, were easy to talk with and answered all my questions, prior to and after surgery, with a warm relaxed demeanor. Overall, my experience with Dr. Koo and his staff has been extremely positive.
Dr. Koo and his team was great! He explained the issue with my shoulder and explained the risks and probable outcomes of the surgery. It turns out I had a lot of repair needed and the surgery and recovery has been a success. I am still working to return to contact sports, but I have returned to everything else. Thank you very much for everything!
When I hurt my shoulders I came to Doc. Koo. He was amazing. I had total convenience in his course of treatment. I had one shoulder replaced and the other repaired. His staff was always friendly and professional. The best part was I knew financially where I was at all times. I would recommend Doc Koo in a heart beat.

I traveled over 2000 miles to see Dr Koo. I was able to accomplish some pre-screening with Dr Koo and his staff. My first appointment was prompt, informative and very encouraging. I scheduled surgery and from the time I arrived until I was leaving in my car with my wife there was less than 5 minutes of idle time. I did not feel rushed at all, things were moving at a very efficient pace. My post op appointment was equally pleasing, no delays, very informative and very helpful to my recovery
Absolutely great experience. Dr Koo did a fantastic job of re-attaching three completely torn rotator cuff muscles. Recovery was fast. The entire staff is awesome and efficient. Both Dr Koo and Claudia Kalotay (PA) do an excellent job of explaining conditions and you can tell they are both very concerned and caring about your progress. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
This was my second shoulder that was done by Dr Koo. Everything was fantastic. The staff was excellent. I am super happy with the results.
Dr Koo was unable to reattach my long head bicep tendon and his staff has been unresponsive to inadequate post op pain management.
