Wonderful margarita recommendation I am in the restaurant business in Lincoln Park. I have dined at your restaurant twice but it was my girlfriend's first time. I have not been there in a great number of years. A buddy of mine who is a country club chef had a wonderful experience there a couple of years ago. So, I wanted quality mexican food and margaritas and you came to mind. Server made a wonderful margarita recommendation and your food was also very good. Look forward to coming back. Keep up the great work!
We have had dinner at Salpicon for the last 7 to 8 years. Every dinner has been so delicious. It keeps us coming back.
We were out of town and it was our first visit. Our server was helpful and knowledgeable. Presentation was spectacular and the food was wonderful! A long ways up from the Chili Colorado that shows up on the menus of Mexican restaurants all over our city (St. Louis). My husband proclaimed it was the best meal he had ever eaten.
Superlative mezcal margarita Salpicn was excellent. My entree was great, but what I really loved was the mezcal margarita.
We have been to Salpicon several times before (including some special dinners for celebrations) and always swoon over the experience. Everything we had was great, and while we sat at the bar for our experience, it was absolutely great! I ordered a Mescal flight which was a lot of fun, while my wife enjoyed the delicious margaritas. A very, very good experience.
Creative approach to cooking Awesome food and drink, well above average. Even the standbys such as Stuffed Jalapenos take on an elevated approach at Salpicon while remaining approachable. This is Modernist Cuisine but an elevated and creative approach to some traditional favorites as well as exciting new dishes.
Always an excellent dining experience. The staff is gracious and attentive, and the food is wonderful. We are always made to feel welcome by all!

Great mexican restaurant We recently moved from San Diego, CA to Chicago, IL. We now live across the street from Salpicon. We are so glad we did! We ordered the 7 course chef selection and 2 bottles of Pinot Noir. The waiter was very courteous and explained each course to us. It's great to finally find a mexican restaurant in Chicago that tastes as if you were actually dining elegantly in Mexico. And trust us, we used to live 30 minutes from Mexico and good Mexican food.
