Great menus. I can feel the Mexican spirit. We are from out of town and it was our first visit. Our server was helpful and knowledgable. Presentation was spectacular and the food was wonderful. A long was up from the Chili Colorado that shows up on the menus of Mexican restaurants all over our city (St. Louis). My husband proclaimed it the best meal he had ever eaten.
We love this restaurant We love Salpicon! Everyone is super friendly and always welcome us upon arrival. The food is always fantastic and the wine & margaritas are delicious too! Our favorite, go-to restaurant in Chicago!
Every one of my meals has consisted of a dozen spectacularly good dishes -- and one spectacularly bad. Still, even the misses signify an effort to try new things, which I very much appreciate. I've been to every one of the top Mexican restaurants in the Chicago area across the price spectrum, and Salpicon is by far my favorite!
Excellent, as always. Have never been disappointed in the many years I've eaten here. The margaritas are splendid and worth a visit anytime. Cordial, knowledgeable service. Good music.
The food was superb as usual and the service was impeccable even outside. The wine list is always fun to peruse - and I am curious why there is no wine from South Africa.
Food, ambience and service are always excellent. Where would you rather go? I recommend this restaurant.
Awesome food and drink, well above average. Even the standbys such as Stuffed Jalapenos take on an elevated approach at Salpicon while remaining approachable. This is Modernist Cuisine but an elevated and creative approach to some traditional favorites as well as exciting new dishes.
A great experience all around. Food was excellent. Especially loved the tostaditas de tinga and the mole poblano.
