Quality Foods in Chicago The menu is inventive and the food is very, very good. The staffs have been carefully chosen and rigorously trained. We had a best meal at Chicago with Salpicon. They serve huge portions so you could easily share on entree and the prices are very reasonable. We had a nice dinner here. The food was great and the prices are reasonable for such a nice spot. The staff is friendly and eager to please. I have not had a bad meal in Chicago for the number of years I have lived here.
Great mexican restaurant We recently moved from San Diego, CA to Chicago, IL. We now live across the street from Salpicon. We are so glad we did! We ordered the 7 course chef selection and 2 bottles of Pinot Noir. The waiter was very courteous and explained each course to us. It's great to finally find a mexican restaurant in Chicago that tastes as if you were actually dining elegantly in Mexico. And trust us, we used to live 30 minutes from Mexico and good Mexican food. Salpicon Mexican Restaurant in Old Town Chicago Everytime we have visited Salpicon, it has been amazing. Delicious food and great drinks. The staff is also wonderful. We will definitely be back!
Food was fine An attempt at fine dining mexican. The food was just OK, I think i would prefer to stick with traditional mexican food instead of spending the extra money. Everyone I was with had a decent meal but we were unimpressed with the prices.
Favorite Restaurant for locals and Tourists This was no exception to the rule. Decor was warm, friendly, inviting...just made you want to be there. Enjoyed a New Year's Day dinner at Salpicon.
