Today I visited Salon Bonita after seeing an ad on Ames People for a free cut with a new stylist, Shae. It won’t be my last visit. My cut was excellent and I also requested a toner and the color was amazing! It transformed my brassy, yellow blonde into a soft blonde! I am very happy with my haircut and tone and I already booked another appointment with Shae for July. All of the stylists were friendly and knowledgeable. Shae helped me pick out some new products suited to my hair type, also. I am very pleased and will return.
I walked into Salon Bonita after a really traumatic year. My hair was a complete mess. Over the next several months, the talented ladies there helped me bring my hair back to life. Kristen Richey is a master of color, and she has taken the time to get to know my hair to assure I get the best cut for my thin, natural curly hair. The vibe of the salon is laid-back and fun, and I look forward to every appointment. I am so glad to have found Salon Bonita in north Ames.
I love Salon Bonita! My bridal party and I got ready here for my wedding on April 6th, and it was so much fun. They did an amazing job. Kristen did my hair, and I’m still obsessed. Sierra and Kristen did an absolute amazing job helping my inspiration become a reality. This salon is seriously so adorable and welcoming and the stylists are so knowledgeable and helpful. I absolutely love what they did and am excited to finally have a salon I love after 10+ years living in Ames.

I got a really cute haircut from Stacy a couple of days ago and I love it! Stacy also took time to treat and style my dry hair. I love how shiny my hair was after the treatment. This is why I never have my hair cut anywhere else but Salon Bonita ❤️
They need to pay better attention to their customers' requests. When given a photo and asked for a simple trim, consult the customer before altering the existing style. I'm incredibly unhappy with what has been done with my appearance. I went there to trim up a style I was already pleased with and instead my hair was hacked off with no consideration to aesthetics and now I can't f'n stand to look at myself in the mirror. Thanks for destroying self confidence.
