SMP processes are completely inadequate and need reviewing. If you are unable to do something over the phone and signpost patients to the website and online form, this needs to be working and available. After phoning on Monday and receptionist telling me they were unable to help, I have tried on 3 occasions to submit an online request only to find the service is "temporary unavailable". To be fair this has always been a very good surgery to me and all the staff have been friendly and professional my only bugbear is being able to contact on the phone I have today as I have a few times this week tried phoning and wait in the queue and on my turn it just keeps ringing....5 minutes ringing today 10 or so minutes in queue. It's very frustrating as I only want to request a test but being a self employed plasterer I cant always finish on time to pop in and arrange.
