Got my dad to the ER at 09:50 this morning for breathing issues. 13 hours later (22:50) and we are still waiting for a room! And no one comes to tell you anything or share any concern. Can’t leave because dad is a fall risk. And they offer no help. Sad what this place has become.

they can never get their billing correct. even when you give them proof that you paid. anyone interested in joining class action lawsuit?

Let me just say, I have not been in a hospital very many times in my life ,but I know lots of folks that have. I spend 2 different weekends there in Murfreesboro having 4 stents put in then 1 more 2 weeks later. The 7th floor NURSES were great. Great listeners and helpful beyond my expectations. The 2nd floor ECU NURSES were Fantastic too.I have never seen so many caring nurses in one place before. Thanks ladies ,and if I see any of you again, I hope it is at the Mall. Much love to you all.

Now that I’m beginning to feel better, I want to publicly say how appreciative and impressed I am with Rutherford County EMS, St. Thomas Rutherford and St. Thomas West hospitals! I may be biased since my husband has been employed by a St. Thomas/Ascension facility for more than 15 years, but the care I received this week from all involved...from paramedics, ambulance drivers, ultrasound techs, nurses and surgeons was excellent! No one expects to have to be taken to the hospital suddenly, especially in the middle of a pandemi... read more

I realize that during this time with covid y’all are being super careful with visitors coming and going. However, having a family member in ICU and me being a smoker I have been told I can only go out one time to smoke even though I am in my car right in front in the handicapped spot. My family member was in ICU a couple weeks ago and it was not a problem going out for a cigarette. I also realize that it is a hospital and condoning smoking is not in y’alls best interest. I had an amazing experience in the labor and delivery department. Just birthed my babygirl there on Tuesday the 16th and was beyond thankful for Callie our L&D nurse who was very supportive of my want for a natural birth with no medication. Callie was awesome and was there the whole time, even if I called her to many times when things got rough. They were all so sweet and catering to my needs during and after labor.

Never again will I drive more than a hour to visit my Brother in the hospital! His wife went me to visit him. First they said family is welcome a couple of days ago. We both show up today, only to say that only 1 person can visit him at a time. 2 people per day. That's ridiculous! They also said that I have to wait in my car vs the lobby, which it was sunny and hot outside, while his wife visits with him. My SIL is taking med whereas she can't be in the sun. I would like to thank Dr Askam and Dr Kommula for the excellent care my mother received at St Thomas Rutherford last week. Also, I can't say enough about how pleased our family was with the Nursing care she had from the staff on 4TH Floor. I can't remember all the names but the pre-op staff, nurses, nursing techs, PT/OT, dietary, housekeeping, lab, and case management all did a great job. Thank You All.
