While most Chattanooga area hospitals are now allowing 2 people in the room during labor, St Thomas still only allows one, eliminating a lot of the photography opportunities with the new parents, as well as eliminating the mom’s mother to be a part of the experience
Wouldn’t recommend this place to my enemies
As an ER nurse I was shocked at the lack of protective gear used by the ER staff. My parents both recently went through the ER as COVID positive patients and no one wore anything other than a surgical mask and gloves during their ER stay. Once on the COVID unit they would wait hours after shift change to see their nurse and communication was horrible. This place is trash just like very doctor in there my dad passed away because they didn’t wanna help my dad this place needs to be burned down with the doctors in it and the staff
This is what one of there RN’s had to say. Just sick. Knowing they have nutcases like her working for them, I wouldn’t be caught dead there.
Had two different encounters with this place and both are bad. 1. I went in with a BP on stroke level, chest pains, and pounding headache. I stayed waiting for 3 1/2 hours only for them to send me home (2 1/2 hours later) with my BP still being at stroke level and headache. I was given migraine meds and told that everything was normal. 2. I took my friend with a broken wrist. We had been waiting for 2 hours just to be triaged. RecommendedI recommend the hospital and the doctors that work in ER just not the kids you meet working at triage and the kid that makes you walk down many long hallways when I can't hardly breathe. then the night shift nurses that have no cares for having a conversation or helping. complained for 2.5 hours my sugar was high before she came to see me. then lots of sarcasm and could seem to care less. the day shift nurses was great and so easy to talk to. phone don't work in room so dietary started just sending what they wanted in stead ... read more
I have called the gastrology department 15 times today 15 times yesterday and 15 times every day trying to get a hold of Dr. Pointer. I haven’t got a call back after leaving multiple voicemails for weeks at a time at this point it is completely ridiculous the VA sent me to them and I do not recommend them not even a little bit. Complete waste of time.
Despite the sign in the lobby that everyone must wear masks all the time, apparently this doesn’t apply to all of the check-in staff. Why go through the screening and say everyone has to wear masks if the staff don’t do it?
