Just completed installation this weekend of two SafeRacks side by side ; one 4X8 and one 4X4 . Ordered directly from SafeRacks under the specials section and received the hook package as a bonus. Everything was shipped promptly and accurately and everything was in perfect condition. I installed both racks myself, side by side, while the instructions state to utilize another person. I am pretty good at things but no expert carpenter, if I could install them myselff I believe anyone with any type of handy-person savy can do it... read more
My wife tried ordering our first rack from Sears. After about 6 months of waiting they canceled our order due to out of stock, or something. We found the SafeRacks website, and reordered the same rack at about 1/4 the price of Sears. We have since ordered another two racks and love them all. Today while installing the latest rack I ran into a problem with the ceiling mount that wouldn't span the joists. Called the 800 number and they are sending me a longer mount no charge. A++ Service!
Saferacks has a great product but the installation process is a joke. We had an appoitment set for today from 10-noon so my husband planned to be home during this time. He recieved a call from the installation guy about 11 said he would be there about and hour to hour an /2 and still no show and no phone call. Not sure if the guy is coming or not and on top of it we still have to pay the $250.00 charge to have them installed. Just installed two 4X8s today. Instructions were good and they helped us get more out of our garage space.
I ordered two 4X8 racks from Costco. When they arived, one box of shelves was the wrong finish (Hammered not White Powder Coat) and damaged, one shelf was bent and broken. The box that was the correct finish had a dent in one shelf (very minor, fixed it myself). Safe Racks was nice enough to send replacement shelves within two days. But, they also came damaged. Two of the new shelves were bent (I think they can be straightened enough to work, and be hidden in the rear, out of sight). The packaging should be sturdier and the ... read more

Hi Tom Stanton thank you for the feedback. We apologize for the items showing up damaged. We are constantly looking for a better way to package our material but still keep it shipping friendly. We understand we have a heavy product which is why the boxes may show up damaged, but we are in constant communication with FedEx and feedback from our customers like this is what we need to continue to improve our partnership with them and the delivery of the product.
I ordered my racks just after Christmas from saferacks site and the website says usually ships 3-5 business days...well tomorrow it will be 4 weeks and I still don't have my racks and they haven't even SHIPPED YET! I called customer service to ask when they will be shipping, they "checked with the warehouse" and my order was one of the next ones to ship out and I should have tracking # by Weds/Thurs latest...that was over 3 days ago and NOTHING!
