RecommendedI ordered the "conceable" vest. I can't tell you how it compares to other brands but it was pretty comfortable, lightweight and fit correctly. Customer service was good. I can't see another vest being better in those regards. I did end up returning the vest however because it was not "concealable" unless you wore it under a thick winter coat. RecommendedI recently bought a Tactical Level IIIA+ Vest from Safe Life and all I can say is I’ve never been more amazed at a Body Armor Company. Unfortunately when I bought the vest, it was a little too big for my Body Type. But that wasn’t an issue at all. 1 phone call was all it took for me to do, and the team did the rest. I recently purchased a plate carrier and plates on a pre Black Friday sale. If I would have known there was a sale coming up the next day that would have also included a concealed carrier I would have waited. I’m disappointed that nothing could be worked out when I called. I work for a small department and am providing my own armor. I’ve also purchased duty belts from safelife that I still use. I’m just disappointed something couldn’t be worked out to allow me to take advantage of this offer.

RecommendedUnfortunately, I was recently shot. I was wearing a Safe Life Defense IIIA+ vest with uniform shirt carrier. I was struck twice in the chest and once in the arm. I didn't find out till days later while in the hospital that I was struck in the chest. I was shot with a handgun at a distance of about 25 feet. I placed an order for a FRAS 14 weeks ago. i was told up front that due to "covid" delays to expect 10-12 week shipping. Well, these guys have enjoyed my paid up front $1800 and I am only getting excuses for responses. Not happy. (edit:$1900+)
I placed an order on 6/30. I have called twice, both times I was asked to be patient. It has now been over 4 months since the order was placed. The product (FRAS) was very expensive. At this point I just want my money back. Terrible experience.
Was looking for a new molle belt for work. I called and spoke with them about the cost of shipping for a belt to Canada. I left my name /email with the person I was speaking with and have never heard back from them. Ended up buying a Persec and Blue Alpha molle belts. I would have liked to tried the belt. Oh well. Lots of competition out there.
RecommendedI finally got my first responder carrier after the 8 week wait( which was posted on the website and I knew that before I ordered it). I love it. It is my 3rd carrier and by far the lightest and most comfortable I've ever owned. I never got a reply from them by email but they did answer the phone ever time I called. I do highly recommend Safe Life Defense just expect the waiting times they list for your vest.👍
