Don’t go to the sacred heart hospitals Emergency room if you’re having a medical emergency.. there is no procedure or process in place for postpartum emergencies. The doctor didn’t have a clue what to do (his words), the RN wasn’t helpful, the front desk refused to call for a lactation specialist or an OBGYN to help.. sat in excruciating pain for hours in the lobby with an IV in my arm. The doctor kept offering me pain medication but because I’m a nursing mother I didn’t want pain medication shoved down my throat. That’s all... read more

Every time I go to Sacred Heart I have to fight tooth and nail for them to simply send my information correctly to insurance. I fought for months when my infant was hospitalized for seizures and now I’m billed months after his speech therapy with no information on why the claim was denied and once again the wrong information was sent. This is a constant issue and every time I call I’m treated rudely like I’m trying to scape goat my bill despite having excellent insurance and always paying the full amount after fighting for m... read more

On 6 October 2020 The Fort Walton Ascension SACRED HEART Endocrinology office I have been going to for five years was abruptly closed. No warning, no smooth transition, no effort to provide continuity of care to the patients empaneled. Patients were merely told in an automated email to follow up with their primary care providers. The conditions treated by the Endocrinologist are way beyond the expertise of a primary care provider. Waiting up to 1 1/2 hours for meds during shift change. Nursing staff repeatedly answer calls but no action!! Worst experience of any hospital had to stay in. Frustration level is extremely high!!!!

On Thursday, 9-25-2020, I attempted to find out if a new patient could be seen in Crestview. I left a phone number. No one called back. Today, 8:02 a.m. to 8:11 a.m. on hold — no one answered the phone. I have been a patient of Dr. John T. Johnson, and am trying to find out if my wife can also be seen by Dr. Johnson. I am covered by Tricare For Life, as is my wife. We also both have Medicare. Your telephone answering system works, just no one answers a incoming call. Came to ER around noon yesterday. Was taken back fairly quickly. Fifteen hours later have received antibiotics I’m supposed to take four times a day. In fact, received no medication at all. Though I’ve had every billable test, scan, etc imaginable. Someone needs to shut this place down. It’s just a for profit corporation with no concern for patient health or safety.

Geting brand new bills 15 months later is highly ridiculous. At this point if there is an issue with insurance covering it they could claim timely filing and refuse to cover.
