Real Jersey Pizza!!!!! – Austin's best "Real" pizza! Ask for there sweet sauce next time your there. Yes, it sounds weird but it is just prepaired differently if you ask for that sauce.. ;) By the way, the owner is a great guy!
Ummm...Pizza – This is the best New York-style pizza in Austin. I worked in New York for a couple of years and this is the real stuff. Not for the brick-oven-wood-fired pizza crowd.
Eat Here Definately! – The best pizza I have ever had!!!! You always hear about "New York" pizza....you go and try it and it never is as good. Well...this is very good. You will love it!
GREAT Pizza, Casual Atmosphere – This is absolutely my FAVORITE place to eat pizza. I've been a regular cusomter of Dan's for 3 years. Not only is the pizza AWESOME, but the price is right for those on a tight budget.
Yippee! – I've been in Austin a year and one of the largest disappointments has been the lack of a great pizza. Saccone's is NY style, which I don't like as much as Chicago or CA style, but it is definitely yummy. The sauce is great. This has been the only good pizza I've had in this town (although I haven't hit all on this list so far). Most others have been truly awful.
Oh Brothers! – The Saccone brothers are real competitors and its their customers who really win. Us "Damned Yankees" from New York recognize and appreciate the great homemade crust and sauce of an authentic New York pizza ... even if they are from New Jersey!
The closes taste to NY in Texas – If your from the North East, and you can't find pizza that is like the Greek pizza parla at every conrner, this is as close to home as it gets.
disappointing service – We've eaten at Saccone's a few times and the pizza has always been excellent - possibly the best in Austin. However, last week we had a pizza and two salads delivered, and, unfortunately, they didn't include the dressing. That's understandable - it happens. But when we called back to ask for the dressing, a rude person on the phone would not send a delivery person with the dressing, nor did she offer a refund or credit, and then she abruptly hung up.
