User review by wmarie – The pizza here is great, there is no denying that. I just have to agree with other people about the staff's attitude. I think these folks try very hard but they are rough around the edges and can be rude. I asked for a to go box for our leftovers, the guy in the kitchen had the nerve to tell me that I don't need a to-go box that I can just use a paper bag. Wicked good! – Wicked great pizza... and the best I've ever had. Going there to eat reminds me of the pizza joint experiences I used to have in Boston Back Bay. If you are clammoring for the feeling of New England, this is your place!
only 2 places to get really good pizza in Austin – Saccones and Reales pizza is the best! I'm from Boston and when I moved to Texas I couldn't find any decent pizza anywhere! Of course I'd still like to get my hads on a pub style pizza. I first found Reale's, excellent pizza and food all around, then someone told me about Saccones, the pizza is awesome! AND they deliver! it doesn't get any better than that!
Just like HOME! – I'm originally from NY and I gotta tell ya, this place is the real deal... right on down to the little Shop Rite "Scrunchy" bear they have sitting near the register. The food is awesome. Always plenty for the price. And the pizza can simply be described as "The Best". A pie with Canadian Bacon and Extra Cheese is our favorite.
Better Pizza Elsewhere? FUGETTABOUDIT! – Having grown up in the Garden State I thought I'd have to fly back if I ever wanted real pie. Thanks to City Search I learned about Saccone's. Just as good as back home, baby! The best mozzarella I've had in a long time on a pizza. Great service, too.
Definitely New Jersey Style Pizza – Having tasted pizza all over the world, Saccones takes the prize. Their delicate blend of cheeses and spices in their sauce create a flavorful unforgetable explosion catering to the "gotta have pizza" blues.
Real NY style pizza – Loved it! When I called in my delivery order, the girl who took my call was new & didn't realize I was way out of their delivery area. They brought my pizza anyway (and promptly at that!). WOW! This pizza reminds me of the pizza I had when I visited NYC. Not for those who want off the wall pizza (if you can call something w/ chicken, spinach & alfredo sauce on it "pizza"). This is the real deal, classic pizza like it was meant to be! Muah!
Great NY/NJ pizza at a price. – Great NY / NJ pizza, but the service is awfull. I have visited many times and they have always had my orders wrong. This is why they are not back in NJ, they don't last with service like that.
