We love going to Russ'. It's comfort food. I was very disappointed when we went last week Wednesday, Apr. 19th, though. We went in around 3:30 or so. We waited to be seated (by the "wait to be seated" sign) and nobody came. A young girl came out the door behind the counter and waltzed back in. I went over to the counter and rang the little bell. I waited, nobody came and so I rang it again. Still no one came out. So we left. I'm thinking you won't get many more repeat customers with service like this.

It's was great, food was good, however, we had to leave so we ordered our desserts to go and we ask for 2 strawberry tarts and the chocolate frudge cake, and we didn't eat them until 10:30 and she had given us strawberry cream cheese...I was bummed!

Not nearly as good as it used to be. Can't get any help. Asked twice for our baked potatoes and never did get them.

My grandchildren and I went to Russ' on 8the street in Holland Michigan today to have a favorite lunch. We were sitting, being happy, chatting, coloring, talking. A woman at the next booth suddenly turned around and started LOUDLY BERATING THE CHILDREN FOR BEING DISRESPECTFUL. I am a teacher. We were happy. We were chatting. NO disrespect was being shown. We have been to 3 or 4 different restaurants & have never been unhappy. If there's a problem or something special we want we point it out. It never had to get to manager involvement, ever.
I haven't been to this location in years. Nice atmosphere, good food.
