Dr. Ruder is kind, patient and very professional. He listens without judgment and you get the feeling he truly cares. He has helped me get a handle on my ADHD and I'm grateful for his efforts. I recommend him. Thank you, Dr. Ruder.
I have been seeing Dr. Ruder for about a year and a half now for OCD and anxiety. He has helped me tremendously, and although he does not practice psychotherapy, he takes the time to listen to everything I have to say and is very personable and friendly. He takes my opinions and situations into consideration when deciding on which medication will work best for me. I have been extremely pleased with him as my doctor.
My mother was a patient, and he enabled her addiction to anxiety pills. When I started taking care of her, she was suicidal, but he didn't seem to know this. She was so messed up, it took thousands of dollars and 5 years to help get her clean. She is now a shell of her former self. She has dementia and stomach issues from all of the pills. I would like to see this doctor out of practice, he is dangerous. All he did was prescribe pills, he never was interested in actually helping her.
Excellent doctor. Nice staff. Be forewarned, they charge you ten dollars to fax a prescription in or even if your pharmacy calls them back for a refill automatically. A very unheard of, ridiculous practice. Not cancelling appointment before 24 hours is an $80 charge for any reason. Keep your appointment cards and document date and time you cancel appointments. Other than these issues, seems to be caring and always punctual.
He's slightly more personal than most psychiatrists I've been to and he's always been willing to work with me on finding the right meds. He also listens from a non-judgmental place which is important to me. A lot of Doctor's want to dictate what meds you should be on but he actually listens to my input and works with me to find what best fits my needs.
