Never again! I called Roto Rooter for a clogged kitchen drain and the "technician" spent six hours "cleaning" the drain, charged me $2004 ($334/hour of labor) and not happy with that, asked me to change some pipes for $4800 plus materials and taxes. I refused because it sounded to me like a rip off. Two days later the sink was clogged again. I called them and the "technician" said nothing he could do. I called then a real plumber. Immediately he found the problem (see the picture) and for $500 everything was cleaned and in w... read more

Beware! They are nothing but professional scammers. I had a small leak coming from my expansion tank. I called RR but they couldnt come at the time. I turned the hot water main line off. I called a local plumber and they came out immediately and replaced it. An hour later RR sent a mitigation guy out from their restoration team to access the damage. It was not much water but he said it was bad. Ceilings needing replacement and so forth. Removing this and that. Well I believed it at first (they are the pros right?) well he ca... read more

I won't recommend this company to anyone, ever, ever, ever. The short-and-sweet of is I suffered a high-pressure sales pitch from them that amounted to nearly 20K of services to address three "collapses". Part of that fix included jackhammering into my kitchen floor and hand-digging 6ft into the ground to replace pipe. Another company with higher moral standards, including that of respecting my property and not leaving a mess, concluded that all I needed was my line cleaned. Do the math. I paid $100 for "labor" with Roto-Roo... read more

We experienced a power outage and when the power restored the alarm for the sump pump continued to go off. I was at work and asked my wife to call to have someone come out and check the system. A roto-rooter employee arrived inside of two hours. He spoke very broken English and told my wife that the backup pump was not working and the whole system would have to be replaced for $3,500.00. The alarm indicated the main pump was not working and was on back up. When the employee was asked why the whole system had to be replaced h... read more

Their work could be 5/5 but their dispatch is 0/5. First I want to say, the technician who did my job was very professional and knowledgeable. This review is NOT for the technician but their scheduling team/dispatch team or whoever is responsible for it.....Here is my story...I was scheduled for a certain day and then it was pushed by 2 days by them at last moment. We agreed, on Day 3 they did not show up in dedicated time and we almost lost another day.... I then decided not to trust their timeline any more and was on phone ... read more

This company has no credit. I made an appointment with them to resolve a problem with leaking from white pipe connections underneath the kitchen sink. The appointment was set for 9am to 1pm, nobody showed up, no phone call, no text message, no sorry, no mercy.I called several times and the representatives are always trying to find excuses, no apology or sorry. The company is simply not responsible, not trustworthy, they treat customers badly and rudely.I asked for leave from my job for this appointment, lost my wages and was... read more

I was told by both the plumber and the project manager that Roto Rooter would send to my insurance company the charge for leak detection. I asked multiple times what I needed to do as well. Needless to say - they did not and i was stuck with a 500 that bill was indeed covered by my insurance. Their customer service and communication lack professionalism and accuracy. Will not use this company again

On 8/13/21 Roto-Rooter came to my house and provided a $600.00 estimate to repair a leaking toilet and a leaking outdoor faucet. The estimate was predicated on the fact that he didn't exactly know where the leaks were so he suggested he remove the toilet to find the leak. The wax gasket was found to be the source of the leak and a rebuilt hose bib was needed for the outdoor faucet. Both issues were minor and took less than 2 hours of work. The final bill was $66.89 in parts and $534.50 in labor. That equates to $267.25 per l... read more
