This place has been one of my favorites since loving to VA. The food and service is always good. I also enjoy the grown up atmosphere on the weekends with the live music.
My family and I took the ferry over to Portsmouth on September 7, 2017 to celebrate what would have been my mom's 80th birthday. We're big football fans (my dad is a Lions fan) and it was the opening night of the NFL season so this was where we decided to have our dinner. Our waitress didn't know it was a special evening for us but was so naturally friendly & courteous that she became part of our celebration. Waitress wasn't knowledgeable of menu. Specifically asked for a broiled crabcake sandwich and didn't get what I asked for. Food took to long to come out. However, cook came to apologize and offered to correct order but I wasn't interested. The rest of my family enjoyed their food. Customer service use to be better..
The food was delicious and portion size was on point!
LOVE THE FOOD.. Also the waiters are very courteous.
Atmosphere was great...but getting a drink was too much of a hassle...i shouldn't have to yell at the bartender to get there attention...they only praised people with reserved seating...when I've spent $200+...i should be getting priority as well
We had an awesome time. Hubby's retirement celebration turned into a NEHC reunion. Mac n cheese was great. Great service from Ava, La'Wanda, and Candis. These 3 did a wonderful job.
We've been going to Roger Brown's for years, and have always had a pleasant time. We went tonight for my husband's birthday dinner, and did not have a good experience at all. We arrived at 7:45 and were seated immediately. There were hardly any other customers. We were the only people in our section, and it otherwise looked pretty empty.
