About this business

History Established in 2009. Rocky Mountain Dog Training was born after years of working with rescues and shelters to rehome dogs and a desire to address the major reason behind dogs finding themselves homeless, which is lack of training & socialization. We are dedicated to working with new puppies and their guardians to start out on the right foot and avoid some of the pitfalls that can occur without early training and socialization. We also work with adolescent and adult dogs to build their skills in the home, and of cours... read more

We have been forever changed by what we have learned from Rocky Mountain Dog Training. Julie Parker is a fabulous teacher. The skills we have learned are invaluable. With daily practice, we have seen growth in our dog after every single training session. It has been a beautiful experience to watch our fur baby grow into a more intelligent, thinking being. We recommend everyone take a puppy class here if you want to give your dog (and the humans in your life) the tools to help your dog succeed!

My experience with RMDT has been nothin but fabulous! Julie and her team are so patient, knowledgeable, and understanding. Both the puppy manners class and puppy socials have been so incredibly helpful into shaping my puppy, Auggie, into a sane-minded and attentive puppy. We look forward to continuing to her level two classes. Update 12.30.17 - Auggie just finished Julie's Level 2 Beyond the Back Yard class and our experience was just fabulous as the first class. With her help Auggie is walking well on leash, has a very stro... read more

We LOVE Rocky Mountain Dog Training!! For the first 2 months of little Cosmos life we were seeing her 3 times a week! 2 days of puppy playtime 1 day of puppy training. When we started Cosmo had a HUGE people affliction, he wouldn't even look at anyone other than me or his dad! With the help of Julie and her staff we are seeing a huge change, he even begs for my coworkers to pet him now! The puppy training classes were so helpful as well! They really show you how to best train with your dog, and make sure that you have the sk... read more
