About this business

History Established in 2009. Rocky Mountain Dog Training was born after years of working with rescues and shelters to rehome dogs and a desire to address the major reason behind dogs finding themselves homeless, which is lack of training & socialization. We are dedicated to working with new puppies and their guardians to start out on the right foot and avoid some of the pitfalls that can occur without early training and socialization. We also work with adolescent and adult dogs to build their skills in the home, and of cours... read more

Highly recommend RMDT! We took the puppy training and noticed such great strides in our puppy's training. The teaching techniques are very easy to understand for owners and pet which sets you up for successful training. We also enrolled in leash walking and recall and LOVED it. By week 2 of the class we could take our 4.5 month old pup on an enjoyable walk with minimal to no pulling! Julie and Val are great to work with and really get to know each dog.

Before even taking our dog to class we were already very pleased with the communication we received when deciding on which class would be right for us. The class was very informative and fun to attend. Our instructors talked us through everything to get the best results for our dog. She has become extremely obedient and we are so happy with the results from the class. We will be taking more advanced classes in the future. Thank you Rocky Mountain Dog training!

We took our 4.5 month old American Staffordshire Terrier mix here and we absolutely loved Julie and her staff. The puppy basic manners class and puppy socialization helped out greatly with dog play, impulse control, patience, and trust we have built with him. Very educational experience for us as dog parents. We will definitely be signing up for additional classes that are held to expand our pup's skills.

Rosie and my husband and I loved going to Rocky Mountain Dog Training! I took Rosie, a bouncy energetic mini Aussie, to puppy socialization classes in the fall. I loved all the support and guidance we got just in those sessions (and a room full of puppies is a perfect Saturday morning). Then, this spring we took her to Puppy Manners class. We loved it! Julie does an amazing job not only working with the pups, but working with us parents! We have come away with fantastic ways to read Rosie and work with her to have a well-man... read more
